Transferable Machine Learning-based Modeling of Spray Atomization using Dimensionless Quantities (Master's Thesis)
As part of the DigitalTwinSD project the department of Food informatics offers a Master's thesis in cooperation with the Department of Process Engineering and Food Powders.
The overall aim of the project is to create a digital twin of the pilot plant's spray dryer. A digital twin consists of the real object – the spray dryer – and a virtual model that contains the same elements and reflects the same behaviour. The continuous exchange of data between the real object and its virtual counterpart is expected to offer numerous advantages. Among other things, this should include the ability to predict process anomalies and accelerate scale-up. Before a virtual representation can be modelled, the measurement methods for data acquisition for the model must be developed and validated.
Below you can find an overview over recently completed student works at our department. A list of further theses from 2016 to today can be found here.
